A Small Window into the Savage Clan - hope it helps!
Tom hails from Birmingham, AL where he was born and raised. He spent a short stent in Valporaiso, Indiana as a teen. Tom graduated from Samford University SU (not to be confused with Stanford!) and loves literature, e-mail, people, time on his own, and working out (running mostly). Yes - he says Y'ALL from time to time...and Yes - he has a little bit of an accent. Sort of. He's not handy, at all!! But he's good at encouraging the one doing all the hard stuff.
Wendy is a Bay Area girl (that's in CA for you non-CA folk). She went to Miramonte HS MHS and got a degree in Int'l Relations/French at UC Davis UCD. Her dad was in real-estate for most of his life before he went to be with his Savior in '99 (prostate cancer). Wendy loves java chip (...anything), a nice glass of wine after a long day, tea with a friend, speaking French (in Paris), and researching just about any topic.
Tom & Wendy met in 1990 at the University of Texas (Arlington - graduate studies) as missionaries training with Wycliffe Bible Translators WBT. Married in 1991. Tom collects graduate degrees: MA Linguistics, MA Counseling, and M Div. Is a Ph D in the future? Hmmm.

They've moved some 14+ times in their 18+ years of marriage. I think Paradise feels like HOME. Please, Lord!
Ask Wendy where she has traveled - the list is long and interesting. Tom & Wendy are also fluent in FRENCH and Wendy only speaks French to Nathaniel.
Jeannette (yes, 2 n's and 2 t's)
She loves soccer, the Disney Channel, her friends, & the color purple....the actual color, not the novel. AND - PINK, don't forget the pink. She is also into the Jonas Brothers (Nick I think is the only one she really likes - I think) ... I don't know. I think it's a band....and she facebook's most the live-long day. Me too. She also plays some mean piano and soccer. She's a sophomore at Paradise High School.
Garrison
He loves everything skateboarding, baseball, & soccer. He loves other kids and he can down chocolate milk in no time flat! He is attending Paradise Charter Middle School - and loves Mr. Reid and all his wonderful teachers there.
Nathaniel
He loves his mommy, apple juice, donuts, hot dogs, corn dogs - seeing a theme here? He has a cute little voice and endears himself quickly to all of his teachers. He is in Kindergarten and loves it. He is with his good friend Nathan Abken.
Romeo
He loves his family....is big and scary looking, but would only sniff you in places that you don't really WANT to be sniffed in public and maybe not even in private. He's loveable and thinks he's a lap dog at 70+ pounds. Ugh.
